ELC Closure Updates

Hello ELC Families,

We hope all students and families are doing well and staying safe during the school closure. The teachers and staff miss all of you very much and are working hard to support families during this difficult time. The ELC Staff have been meeting virtually to discuss, identify, and plan additional learning opportunities for the district Home Learning Resources Page (https://sites.google.com/wvsd.org/learningresources/home). ELC teachers will continue to contact you via Talking Points, email, or by phone at least bi-weekly. If you or families you know would benefit from hard copy versions of these resources, you may pick them up at the elementary school food service sites between 11am and 1pm. We will continue to update the page weekly.

Information about our school closure has been added to the navigation bar on the front page of our website for easy reference. Visit our website at https://earlylearning.wvsd.org/ and click the School Closure tab for our Frequently Asked Questions document, information on the Free Meals Program and the link to our Home Learning Resources information.

There is also a free option for Families that do not have access to wifi. Xfinity made all their public wifi hotspots free and families should be able to access the free wifi. Visit the Xfinity website at http://wifi.xfinity.com/#find-a-hotspot.

If you have any questions or need assistance with anything, please don’t hesitate to contact the school. Even though the building is closed we still have office staff available through phone and/or email daily from 9am-2pm. Thank you for your patience and willingness to work with us to help navigate this unprecedented time.

Please take care and stay safe,
ELC Principal
Dan Andrews
