West Valley Early Learning Center’s Mission Statement

 

Our mission is to create rich, comprehensive, high-quality experiences that accommodates different learning styles by linking school, home and the community. The West Valley Early Learning Center envisions students to be supported in their literacy, language, math, and social-emotional growth throughout enrollment in the West Valley Early Learning Center and to graduate Kindergarten-ready: healthy, capable, and confident in their ability to learn and succeed. 

 

Welcome to Preschool

 

West Valley Early Learning Center offers four preschool options for students 3 to 5 years of age. The school district offers school bus transportation to families who live within the West Valley School District.

 

 

Early Childhood Educational and Assistance Program

The Early Childhood Education and Assistance Program (ECEAP) is a FREE government funded preschool program for eligible students.

Who is Eligible:

  • Students 3 or 4 years old by August 31 of the current school year
  • From a family with an annual income at or below 36% of the state median income; or
  • Qualify for school district special education services; or
  • Have developmental or environmental risk factors that could affect school success

 

ECEAP Provides:

  • Early childhood education in half day and school day models
  • Kindergarten readiness skills
  • Social and emotional development
  • Nutritious meals and snacks
  • Family support services
  • Connections to a variety of community resources

Preschool Special Services 

We offer three special education preschool options for students ages 3 to 5 with developmental delays. Please call 509.922.5478 for more information and/or to schedule a developmental screening. Placement determination is a team decision and is based on the individual student’s needs and abilities.

 

Developmental Preschool

  • Early childhood education in a part-day model
  • Students who are 3 and 4 years old with developmental delays

 

Preschool Plus

  • Early childhood education in an inclusive part-day model
  • Students 4 years of age with developmental delays
